Why I Created LaunchPAD...

As an Occupational Therapist working with children and teens, I saw the same worry over and over again from parents: “Will my child really be ready for life after high school?”  

Too often, services drop off just as the need for real-world skills becomes greatest.

I created LaunchPAD to fill that gap...to give parents the tools, guidance, and confidence to help their neurodiverse teen build independence, discover their strengths, and step into adulthood with purpose.

One of the hardest parts of parenting a neurodiverse teen is feeling like you’re the only one going through it.

LaunchPAD changes that.

When you join, you don’t just get the step-by-step curriculum...you also get access to group coaching sessions and a supportive parent community that’s walking the same path you are.

Here’s what that means for you:

  • Live Group Coaching Calls – Ask your questions, get real-time feedback, and learn from other parents’ experiences.

  • Personal 1:1 Coaching Calls – We'll do an "initial" call to discuss your teen's function and expectations, a mid-program "check-in", then another individual conference toward the end of the program to celebrate progress and answer any final questions.

  • Shared Wins & Struggles – You’ll discover you’re not alone, and other parents “get it” in a way most friends and family don’t.

  • Accountability & Encouragement –When the Gen Z slag and attitude make you want to throw in the towel, we're here to help you keep going.

  • Safe, Judgment-Free Space – We're all doing our best and get enough judgment from our teenagers.  This community is built on respect, confidentiality, and empathy.

I'm Alison.

Hi, I’m an Occupational Therapist with over 25 years of experience working alongside children, teens, and families in the neurodiverse community.

Over the years, I’ve seen the unique challenges that come with the transition from high school to adulthood...and I’ve also seen the incredible potential waiting to be unlocked when teens are given the right tools and support.  

I have teens at home and I also love working with other teenagers in a clinical setting.  When a teen comes into the clinic, they immediately set them up with me because sometimes other therapists can be intimidated to work with them.  I happen to LOVE teenagers!

I created LaunchPAD to bridge the gap between school and “the real world.” My approach blends proven therapeutic strategies with practical, everyday tools parents can use right at home.

I believe every teen has strengths and gifts...and with the right guidance, they can find purpose, independence, and confidence in their next chapter.

Helping parents and teens navigate this journey isn’t just my profession...it’s my PASSION!
